Single races idea...

It might be a little while before there are enough dedicated racers for a league.  However, there are some things that can be done to start promoting the league and getting some new drivers.  Here's my suggestion:

* Have Saturday morning (around 10AM EST) races which are not a series, no points, and vary with cars each week.

Why Saturday morning?  Sunday's are difficult for a lot of people.  Saturday's work out pretty well for most (not all) and mornings would allow for US and European drivers to participate.

* Format?

No long practice sessions.  A quick 5-10 minute qualifying session (depending on the track), 5 minute warm-up and two 20 minute races.

* What can this accomplish?

If we post the events on the various pCARS supported forums, we can see what types of vehicles interests the most people.  There are many leagues right now running Le Mans style cars.  Granted, they aren't all running at USA favorable dates/times, but there are several.  Running some of the other cars may create a niche in which we can grow the league and then eventually expand it into other racing disciplines as more pCARS updates roll out.

For instance, we could do:

Ginette Junior at Brands Hatch
Lotus 72D at Silverstone

I'd be interested in thoughts..
